Environmental Reporting - Metcalf’s Environmental Reporting Fellowships is over to those interested in studying marine and environmental science and furthering their environmental reporting career. The ten-month Environmental Reporting Fellowships provide four weeks of scientific study in environmental science at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography, a leading marine science research campus. Topics covered during the study month include climate change impacts, renewable energy, water quality, and ocean science, as well as special sessions for developing environmental journalism skills. Online - High Gear Media is looking for ambitious and talented aspiring journalists and online writers who have a particular passion for cars.  Marty Padgett, in conjunction with the High Gear Media editorial staff, will train and mentor interns in the writing of expert automotive reviews, news, and analysis related to auto industry issues, trends, and events. In addition to written requirements and assigned duties, Marty will work with the intern to develop and implement "moderation/editorial" policies around all other content generated by non-staff writers in HGM's "open content submission" platform.
