New! Photography - WWE publications department currently has an opening available for a student to assist its active photography department. The photo intern would contribute to the daily production of the monthly magazine, the Kids magazine and special issues. Responsibilities will include assisting photo editors in arranging photo shoots; photo research (via phone calls and stock agencies); scanning slides and artwork for layout and production purposes; trafficking slides; and coordinating the filing of slides in the WWE archive. For some candidates, there is also the opportunity to assist the edit department with transcriptions and research. Applicants should have a basic understanding of PhotoShop and digital photography. Social Networking - The Ventura County Community Foundation is recruiting an intern to increase traffic and build membership for artsliveventuracounty.org  – a social-networking site that unites artists and nonprofits. Hours vary from 4 to 5 hours a week to 10 or more, depending on the applicant’s academic schedule. A stipend of up to $1,000 is available and negotiable depending on the number of hours worked. New! Broadcast - CNBC is offering an unpaid internship in the network's Los Angeles Bureau, located in Universal City. The 10-week summer internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students. The internships are geared toward students who want to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Students must receive academic credit for the experience, and proof of course credit will be verified. Magazine - The World Triathlon Corporation, owner of the international Ironman and Ironman 70.3 event franchise is debuting a new magazine this summer and are seeking a motivated journalism student. If you are interested in breaking into the magazine industry, this is your chance. Your day-to-day duties will involve helping us with our editorial content planning, editing and writing as well as helping us obtain necessary photography. This is not a "coffee- fetching" internship. We are looking for someone who really wants to be a part of a magazine from the ground up. Come learn the business in our beautiful offices overlooking the Del Mar Racetrack. Must be able to receive school credit, have excellent written/communication skills, access to your own transportation and your own computer. Prior triathlon experience a plus, but not mandatory.
