New! Political - Applications are now being accepted to intern at the Political Journalism track in Washington, DC for Spring 2011. The internship will give students the opportunity to work hands-on with professional experience in the journalism or communications field. The internship includes a 25 hour coursework at Georgetown University. The early deadline to apply is Oct. 1, 2010 to receive a 5 percent discount on their tuition balance, and to receive priority consideration for scholarship awards and internship placement. New! Newspaper/Photo - The Denver Post is offering a 10-week internship for the Summer of 2011. Reporters, photographers, copy editors, page designers, online producers, and graphic designers are expected to perform as full-fledge members to the staff. Interns will be working in different areas of the newsroom. This internship pays about $480 per week (housing and transportation to Denver not included). Applicants should have completed their junior year before Summer 2011. Research - SAGE, an independent international publisher of journals, books, and electronic media is currently looking for a fall part-time intern in their Library Information Group to perform research on online publishing platforms, library databases and academic researcher needs. The intern must be committed to work for 10 - 15 hours a week for approximately one month. The position pays $10/hour. Research experience is required as is upper-level undergraduate or graduate standing, Journalism or Mass Communication students preferred.
