Mandatory Advisement - Fall 2011 advisement starts today. All Journalism students who plan to attend CSUN during Fall 2011 must see their advisers for academic counseling during the advisement period. Students will not be cleared for registration until the Department has the counseling form on file. The journalism office does not make appointments, just plan to see your advisor during her/his office hours. Please pick up your forms and files in the Department office, MZ 210.
War with Mexico- The Oviatt Library and the Department of Journalism invites you to join us for a celebration of the life of Dr. Tom Reilly on the publication of his posthumous book "War with Mexico! America's Reporters cover the Battlefront," edited by Manley Witten (former faculty member). Dr. Reilly was the former Journalism Chair and faculty member. The panel will take place March 17 from 4- 6 p.m. at the Oviatt Library, Graduate Reading Room. Please RSVP to (818) 677-2638.
Career Day - For students who are serious about landing that first job in journalism, public relations and other media-related fields, this year’s Career Day has something for everyone. The panel will feature professionals ready to share their experiences and answer questions on a diverse range of professions. This year's Career Day will be held on Thursday, March 24 in the Johnson Auditorium 100 in Jacaranda Hall from 2-4 p.m.
Grad Fest - Students who will be graduating in the Spring have the opportunity to make all arrangements for participation in commencement. Grad Fest is set for Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the Matador Bookstore.
Graduation Deadlines - For Spring 2012 or Summer 2012 graduation, students must apply before July 8, 2011.
