Public Relations - Bleiweiss Communications Incorporated (BCI), a public relations firm located in Calabasas, seeks communications assistants with skills in writing and desktop publishing. BCI publishes newspapers, brochures and produces videos mainly for office unions, charities and other non-profit organizations. Applicant must be able to work well with others, speak articulately and own a car to visit Southern California clients. Some of the duties include: assisting administration of the office, researching articles, story ideas and media outlets, writing features/news stories and commentaries on a wide range of social and economic issues, page layout and and copy editing using Quark, photographing of conferences, conventions, rallies and protests and adjusting photos and other design work in Photoshop. Broadcast - KCRA, located in Sacramento, is seeking an anchor for their news department. The candidate must have excellent anchor, writing, reporting skills and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be a leader in the newsroom and must have the ability to work well with a co-anchor as well as other newsroom personnel.
