Print/Multimedia – The Chips Quinn Scholars program provides training, paid internships and a $500 housing stipend to college juniors, seniors, recent graduates, and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in print/multimedia journalism. Students interested in the spring 2012 program must be planning to graduate in December 2011 or be willing to take a semester off from school. Broadcast - Premiere Networks in Sherman Oaks, Calif. has an immediate opening for a Radio Talk Show Internship designed to give hands-on experience with nationally syndicated radio programs. This is an unpaid internship for college/course credit only. The hours are flexible for the position. Interns will learn to research stories for the show, conduct pre-interviews, write introductions and suggested questions for the interviewees, write liners, maintain a log of show topics and guests, perform audio editing, update websites, and more. Job requirements include a desire to learn about talk radio, being an avid follower of political, entertainment/pop culture, business, consumer and health news, being Internet savvy, skilled knowledge in social media, and following a course of study in communications, journalism and/or broadcasting.
