Public Relations -, an entertainment news site, is looking for an intern who is studying public relations or another form of journalism who would like to make connections in the field of entertainment. Candidates should be hard workers with the drive to gain hands-on experience. The position requires two or three days per week and the ability to work remotely. The intern will be making phone calls and emailing celebrity publicists and managers on behalf of Miz Hollywood to set up interviews and red carpet events. On shoots, the intern will assist in helping set up video equipment and lighting when needed. The intern will also assist in preparing interview questions for celebrities. In addition, the intern may be required to write news stories and cover special events as a Miz Hollywood special correspondent. Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Wordpress, and Hootsuite (as well as Photoshop or iPhoto) is necessary, as the intern will be growing Miz Hollywood’s social media presence. Public Relations - Boutique PR firm is seeking two unpaid interns to assist with basic duties such as answering calls, updating press lists, managing social media, editing, and helping with upcoming events. Major organizational skills are required. Desired qualities include good research skills and a go-getter attitude. Interns should also have fresh ideas to contribute to the firm.
