Internship Opportunities March 12 - March 16
Government / Social Media - Senator Dianne Feinstein's Los Angeles office is looking for highly motivated college students for internship positions for the upcoming summer session. Interns support field representatives and staff assistants in drafting memos to the Senator, scheduling or attending meetings with staff, drafting constituent letters, conducting background research, making phone calls, completing document requests, working on morning press clippings and research projects, and attending events with the Senator when she is in the area. For many citizens, contact with Senator Feinstein's office is their only experience with an elected representative. Therefore, polite and friendly students with some familiarity with the American political system and current events are preferred. Additionally, strong writing and communication skills are a plus. Students of all majors are welcome to apply. Hours are flexible (a minimum of 12 hours per week) during the school year. Internship positions are unpaid, but school credit will be offered. Interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, three academic/professional references (contact information and relation), and a one-page writing sample to Stevy_Loy@feinstein.senate.gov as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Stevy Loy at the above email address or at (310) 914-7300.
