Political Journalism – The Institute on Political Journalism (IPJ) is offering a summer internship experience for journalism or communications majors. Student journalists will cover hot button issues such as the war in Afghanistan, the battle for control of the U.S. Congress, the struggle to boost the economy and the 2012 Presidential Election cycle. This eight-week academic internship program combines world class learning accredited by Georgetown University with hands-on experience in journalism or public relations in Washington, DC. Broadcast - CNBC is offering summer internships at its Los Angeles Bureau. The summer selection process is currently underway, and interested students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The internship is located in Universal City, CA. The program allows students the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a busy newsroom. Students learn about broadcast journalism, production, technology, script writing, research, news gathering, business, and much more. These are unpaid internship positions, and students must receive academic credit from their college or university for the experience. CNBC currently has two summer positions available.
