Internship Opportunities


AAJA 2012 Broadcast News Grants ($500 and $1,000) – The Asian American Journalists Association will award two grants to college students or recent college graduates pursuing careers in broadcast journalism. Applicants must have already secured a summer 2012 internship upon applying for the two grants. The stipend is to be used for living costs or transportation. Candidates are encouraged to become AAJA members. To apply, submit three collated sets of the following: a completed application form, a 200-word essay about why you want to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and what experience you hope to gain, a letter of recommendation, a resume, proof of age, a statement of financial need, and internship verification. All materials should be mailed in one envelope to Broadcast News Grants, Asian American Journalists Association, 5 Third Street, Suite 1108, San Francisco, CA 94103. The deadline is May 11, 2012.
