Public Relations - Productivity PR’s internship program offers college students, and recent graduates, the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the public relations field. Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience researching and building media lists, learning to comfortably and proactively pitch reporters, coordinating editorial coverage results, writing press releases and editorial pitch letters, social media for marketing consumer products, brainstorming, planning and more. Intern candidates must have good communication, people and writing skills, and have a genuine interest in public relations.  Recent graduates with a degree in public relations, communications or marketing or current students studying public relations, journalism, marketing communications, or communications are preferred. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on public relations experience in a friendly and energetic atmosphere. This position requires roughly 15-20 hours a week.  The internship is located in Woodland Hills.  This is an unpaid internship for course credit and valuable experience. Sports - Jyra International, a Los Angeles-based media and information company, is accepting applications for a fall 2012 intern who must receive college credit for the internship. Jyra International provides content both to television and online news organizations. The objective of the internship program is to enhance students’ knowledge of the journalism industry. The company’s internship is designed to give students experiences that complement their academic endeavors. The program provides interns with an opportunity to participate in the daily operations of the company. A significant portion of the intern’s experience will be participation in covering sports stories. Therefore, this internship is suited for a student who has an understanding of a variety of sports rules and current events. Magazine – “Ventura Blvd” is a high-end local media platform that covers life in the San Fernando Valley, and publishes “Ventura Blvd” magazine, and The magazine is delivered to the 20,000 highest income homes of the Valley and is for sale at select stores. The intern will work directly with the editor. Responsibilities include writing, posting to electronic platforms, assisting with photo shoots, researching potential stories ideas and more. Familiarity with the Valley is a plus.
