Social Media - The NBC4 Southern California digital media team is looking for a dynamic, news-hungry individual to maintain the Twitter account during peak audience hours. Stationed in the heart of the NBC4 newsroom, the employee would work closely with the social media lead, tweeting breaking news as well as engaging with the audience and growing NBC4’s following. The successful applicant will have solid news judgment and social media skills and be available to work in the Burbank newsroom 4 hours a day M-F. This is a paid position. New York Program Assistant - The News Literacy Project (NLP) is currently seeking a dynamic, creative, and multi-talented New York program assistant to help in the day-to-day administration of the organization's classroom program. The successful candidate will work directly with and report to the New York program manager to ensure the effective delivery of NLP's classroom program in several of its 10 partner schools. This is a part-time contract position for someone who is passionate about education, has a journalism or education background, knows how to organize and prioritize diverse tasks, can efficiently coordinate and support sites when the NLP unit is being taught, and has some digital video skills. This position starts in early December and ends at the end of May with about 20 hours per week and will require the individual to work from his or her home almost exclusively except for classroom visits and occasional meetings. Pay will be $20 - $25 per hour. All candidates must have a four-year college degree, be willing and available to travel, have strong communication skills, have excellent organizational skills, have some experience with public speaking, and be comfortable taking direction. Sales Assistant – KIRN 670, Iran Radio, is looking for a sales assistant to support the general manager and account executives with creation, filing, distributing documents and reports, processing sales orders, and preparing media packages. The assistant will also serve as the liaison with clients and other departments and oversee media accounts. A high school diploma is required and a minimum of five years of professional experience is desired. Applicants must be strong with Photoshop, MS Office, graphic design, research, and organization.
