News Photographer - KCRA is seeking a full-time news Photographer. Candidates for this position must be news photographers who are also able to edit their own stories and operate a live ENG truck. Production Assistant - This is an entry-level position at Juris Productions for soon to be graduates or recent graduates. This position will interphase with local news media as well as attorney clients. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for a position in special projects for local news or someone who wants their foot in the door for a segment producer-type. Other candidates who have been successful enjoy long format storytelling. Since this is a small company, there is plenty of opportunity to learn different aspects of production if interested. Duties include digitalizing media, scanning photographs, and encoding, compressing and uploading files. Applicants should have a basic knowledge of FCP, DVD Studio Pro, and other software. Strong organization and communication skills are required. Compensation is competitive to local news station EA positions. The company also offers 100 percent employer paid health insurance after 90 days and two weeks paid vacation after 90 days. Writers - Democracy Lab is looking for writers who can illuminate the issues - political, economic, and social – that face countries that are aspiring to make the transition to democracy. We're particularly interested in the experience of countries that are going through such transitions right now (see, for example, the nations of the Arab Awakening and Burma/Myanmar), but we're also interested in relevant lessons from countries that have consolidated their own transitions (Poland, Brazil, Indonesia). Coordinating Producer - The Moth and The Moth Radio Hour in New York City is seeking a coordinating producer. The salary is from mid 30s to mid 40s, depending on experience, plus benefits. Gather audio, text, graphic and promotional assets for The Moth Radio pages on themoth.org. Manage the Moth's audio archive, iTunes store and the production of the weekly podcast. Serve as a liaison between Moth headquarters and the Supervising Audio Producer and the radio production team at Atlantic Public Media (APM). Skills include comfort with digital production, distribution, and the workings of iTunes and other digital delivery platforms; ability to handle pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with time sensitive deadlines; interviewing and audio editing experience; ability to interact within a small organization; Knowledge of Pro Tools; experience with audio production, radio show producing and management experience; and familiarity with The Moth, The Moth Radio Hour, PRX and public radio all a plus.

Sales Assistant – KIRN “Radio Iran” is searching for a motivated, professional sales assistant. The assistant supports the general manager and account executives within the sales department including the creation, filing and distribution of documents and reports, processing of sales orders, and preparation of media packages and sales proposals. The assistant will also serve as a liaison with clients and other departments, oversee media accounts, write/translate copy, and other duties as necessary. This position is also responsible for updating Web content. Applicants must have a high school diploma, at least five years of professional experience with administrative support in broadcasting, strong Photoshop and MS Office skills, strong graphic design skills, exceptional organization skills, and good communication skills. This is an entry-level position. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
