2013 CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship - The 2013 CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship provides a rising college sophomore with $3,900 toward college education costs, a trip to the 2013 AAJA Convention in August in New York as part of the Voices student news project plus getting matched with a mentor keyed to the student's journalism focus.  Applicants must be committed to AAJA’s mission and must be college freshmen going into their sophomore year. AAJA membership is not required to apply, but if the student is awarded the scholarship he/she must become an AAJA student member. WIRED Editorial Fellowships - WIRED magazine is seeking four editorial fellows for the second half of 2013. These fellowships are based in WIRED’s San Francisco office and are full-time positions, beginning July 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013. Editorial fellowships focus on WIRED’s front-of-the-book sections, gadgets research, and fact-checking. Since the fellowships are full-time, they are not appropriate for matriculated students. Applicants must be pursuing journalism as a career and have experience working in a deadline-oriented environment. Applicants should also be enthusiastic, highly organized, and have a demonstrable interest in technology. A passion for great reporting and writing is essential. Fellows will receive $12 an hour and work 35 hours per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information on how to apply, please visit Applications are due Thursday, May 23, 2013.
