Digital Editor - This is a full-time hands-on position, gathering and compiling content from a variety of outlets, including the station newsroom, the Internet, wire services, social media, as well as traditional news sources for publishing on digital media. There is an emphasis on delivering breaking news and weather accurately and prioritizing user engagement with our multi-platform content offerings. For more information, visit:  Experience: preferably more than two years prior experience working for a television news station, daily newspaper or in a digital environment, Prior supervisory experience helpful, demonstrated journalism background; strong news judgment; knowledge of legal and ethical issues in the digital media, demonstrated social media background; knowledge of legal and ethical issues surrounding social media, highly developed digital skill set with experience in content management systems, HTML, and knowledge of coding for the Web. Requirements: preferably Bachelors in Journalism or related field, ability to work collaboratively with digital and broadcast journalists, knowledge of editing and AP Stylebook standards, ability to pass writing and editing test, ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly, ability to catch spelling errors without electronic assistance, ability to manage time and meet multiple daily deadlines for various projects, ability to be flexible in schedule to cover major and/or breaking news events, ability to work with a positive attitude, ability to work well in a multitasking environment with frequent interruptions, paying close attention to details. Tech Operator - KCRA-TV/KQCA-TV Hearst Television owned stations will work in the technical side of two local TV stations. Will be involved in various aspects of TV broadcasting operations including on-air switching, audio mixing, camera control, and video tape and server operations. This is an IBEW/Union position. Full time position available.  Experience Requirements: Three years minimum experience in television broadcasting, Must have experience with master control and with Harris automation, Typing speed of 20 WPM, Computer literate and Attention to detail. Part Time News Writer/ Reader - Lotus Communication Corp. is one of the largest privately owned Radio Station Groups in the United States. In Los Angeles, we operate KIRN (670 AM, “Radio Iran”) the only American radio station broadcasting full- time in Farsi, and KWKW (1330 AM, “Radio Deportes”) the oldest and most respected Spanish- Language radio station in the Los Angeles area. The station is known to many as ESPN Deportes and is recognized as the top sports station in Spanish in the United States. Within our Los Angeles offices (close to Universal Studios), we are looking for a part-time news writer and reader to join KIRN. The position of on air-news and reader is to be able to gather and prepare the news and also read it on air. The individual must be fluent in both English and Farsi. We are looking for motivated professionals who can work in a fast- paced environment with the following qualifications: High School diploma, Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and minimum of two years of professional experience providing news preparation and news reading is a must.
