Department Office Hours - The Department's office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Faculty Office Hours – Faculty adviser and part-time faculty office hours are available online and outside the Department office.

Permission Number Required to Add Class – Starting Monday, January 27, students need to request a permission number from the instructor to add classes. 
Late Registration Deadline - Friday, Feb. 7 is the last day to add classes with permission, drop or change grading basis online through self-service registration. Forms and signatures are required hereafter.

Student Assistant Needed – The Journalism Department is looking for a reliable student to assist in the office. General office duties include: Answering the phone, typing, filing, running errands, and other clerical duties as assigned. Previous office experience is preferred. Hours are flexible and able to work with school schedule. Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and multi-line phone systems. Interested candidates can inquire in MZ 210 by bringing in a resume to Heather Kennedy by Monday, January 27, 2014.

Reading Room - For journalism students who need to access computers or need a quiet place to study, the Journalism Department has a computer lab in the Michael Emery Reading Room, MZ 208. No food, drinks, or using MySpace/Facebook in the Reading Room!

Email - Check your e-mail regularly or forward your university e-mail to an account like hotmail. Remember that the is the official Cal State Northridge communication method. It is the student's responsibility to monitor his/her University e-mail. Not checking e-mail is not a good reason for missing deadlines.
