Internship Opportunities April 21 - April 25

Newsprint Internship - San Fernando Valley Business Journal (21600 Oxnard Street, Suite 250 Woodland Hills, Va 91367) if offering a paid internship that gives the opportunity for the intern to write feature, business and other stories for immediate publication. The Business Journal has supportive staff that will give close one-on-one attention. Hours are flexible, but will work around three to four days a week. Marketing Internship -The marketing department for LACO (Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra) is looking for a full-time intern for the summer that will assist with preparations of the upcoming season's program books, serve as a project coordinator and will need to communicate with all staff members on their program book assignment. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; flexibility; ability to prioritize and be organized; success in meeting deadlines; strong customer service and teamwork ethics. Eligible students must be currently enrolled as a  full-time undergraduate college students who reside in and/or attend college in Los Angeles County. Production/Artist Administration Internship - LACO is looking for a full-time summer intern that will assist the Orchestra's production and artistic administration department with preparations and executions for the upcoming season's musician, guest artist, instrument rentals and vendor contracts. Will serve as project coordinator for facilitating the time table and the mailing and receiving of all assigned contracts. Requires intern to interact with a wide variety of professional musicians, artist managers, music publishers, performances venues and industry contacts throughout the country. Candidates are required to have a background in music; excellent written and verbal communication skills, respect for confidentiality and discretion. The ability to prioritize and be organized, meeting deadlines, and ability to work with a wide range of personality types. Eligible students must be currently enrolled as a  full-time undergraduate college students who reside in and/or attend college in Los Angeles County.
