The Journalism Technology Office is accepting applications for two part-time student assistant positions.
Applicants need knowledge in PC Windows OS, Mac OS, iPad iOS, networked printer, file server, scanner, multimedia projector, DSLR camera, video camcorder, audio recorder, Final Cut video editing, Audition audio editing, Photoshop graphics editing, InDesign desktop publishing, Dreamweaver web page design, MS Word news reporting, and MS Excel plus WebCheckout database.
Journalism students who are familiar with applying the above hardware and software in Journalism classes preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn, a friendly attitude and be reliable.
Under close supervision and guidance, the student assistant works at The Tech Shop, and The Checkout Center, is responsible for tasks, such as installation, configuration, updating, maintenance, repairing , equipment check out, follow-up, inventory, open lab and user support.
