The Boston Globe - The Boston Globe runs one of the top programs in the nation, inviting interns to work as staffers for a summer. The 12-week program gives students a chance to work for a major metropolitan paper, covering a variety of stories in our Metro, Business, Living/Arts, Health/Science and Sports sections, as well as shooting photos and video, designing pages and graphics for print and online, and copy editing. They provide guidance, direction and feedback to all of the interns, as well as a writing coach for the writing inters, and we expect the interns to be ready to perform nearly at the level of a beginning journalist. This means our interns produce every day and finely polish their journalism skills throughout the summer.
