The University Student Union is now hiring a PR assistant for the Marketing Department at the USU.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enhance his or her skills in Public Relations.  The clients of the USU consist of the Student Recreation Center, Pride Center, Veterans Resource Center, Oasis Wellness Center and the University Student Union.

The Student Press Law Center offers internships in its Washington, D.C., office during the fall, spring and summer semesters.  The SPLC is a Non-profit organization that offers legal assistance for students and educators in regards to their first amendment rights.

The program not only offers two full time internships per semester but also pays a living expense stipend of $3,500 (summer) and $4,000 (spring and fall semesters).

Deadline for the Spring 2016 internship program is Oct. 15, 2015

The Scripps Howard Foundation is looking for college juniors and seniors studying print, broadcast and multimedia journalism to report from Washington during the spring and summer terms. Intern’s responsibilities will be to find, report and write stories for the web-based Scripps Howard Foundation Wire.

Interns are paid a stipend and provided free housing in furnished apartments.

  • Spring 2016 (Jan. 7 to April 13). Stipend: $3,346 and free housing. Deadline: Nov. 1, 2015
  • Summer 2016 (June 6 to Aug. 12) Stipend $2,390 and free housing. Deadline: Nov. 1, 2015

California Press Foundation 2016 Newspaper Internship Grant Program

Want to pursue a career in Newspaper work? Do you have a 3.0 G.P.A? The California Press Foundation is awarding four $1,500 newspaper internship grants to qualified students.

Each grant is awarded after the winner secures and begins an internship of six-weeks or more at a CNPA-member newspaper in spring or summer.

Application Deadline is Nov. 13, 2015.
