MGA Entertainment is looking for an undergraduate intern for Spring 2016 to support the social media team. MGA is based in Van Nuys and owns well known brands such as Little Tikes, Lalaloopsy, Bratz, Num Noms, Project Mc2, and others. The social media intern will get a chance to work closely with the PR and Marketing teams.

Internship Type:
  • social media internship
  • unpaid/ accepting course credit required
  • 2-3 days a week (total of 20 hours)
Responsibilities:
  • competitive research (researching what other toy brands are doing online)
  • assisting with social media content planning and management 
  • compiling social media reports

The Associated Press is offering paid 12-week general assignment journalism internships for summer 2016 in seven U.S. cities (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington D.C.), as well as eight international locations (Amman, Bangkok, London, Mexico City, Moscow, New Delhi, Seoul and Tokyo). 

Interns will receive training and experience in video and at least one other format (text, photos, and interactive/graphics.)

Successful candidates will be:

  • strong storytellers who can demonstrate solid news judgment
  • able to suggest story ideas and angles, and incorporate them in video, still images and/or text
  • comfortable interacting with a diverse group of co-workers and interview subjects
