    WNYC Studios' festival for women in audio is hosting a one of a kind event convening women from across the country at all stages in their careers to encourage them to lear from each other production and entrepreneurial skills.

"Podcast Bootcamp" will include a full day of hands-on instruction lead by award wining hosts and producers from hit shows like Radiolab, Start Up, Call your Girlfriend, Stuff Mom Never Told You, Women of the Hour with Lena Dunham.

   Panels, Workshops, and talks by more than 70 executives, producers and hosts from leading organizations including WNYC, BuzzFeed, Vox, This American Life, MTV, NPR,KPPC, Audible KCRW, AIR,Gimlet and Pineapple Street Media.

  Three nights of incredible podcast tapings by Death, Sex and Money,  Another Round and 2 Dope Queens that will be open to the general public as well as to festival attendees !

The Times offer 10 weeks of intensive, hands-on experience in a region where big stories are the norm.  They place interns throughout the L.A. Mentor Program Opportunity February 20-February 24

NPR Next Generation Radio Annenberg School at USC  Students at Cal State schools in greater Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, this one's for you. NPR’s Next Generation Radio is now accepting applications for our non-narrated audio and digital media storytelling project at the Annenberg School at USC March 13-17. Apply by midnight PST Wednesday February 23 https://nextgenradio.wufoo.com/forms/m1hrmmou0vnz2ee/ This program seeks to increase diversity in public media through hands-on training and mentorship. Students get to spend a week with their own professional mentor, working on NPR style audio stories, video, social media and web content. There is no cost to apply or be admitted into the program. (Students pay travel and food expenses though).
