Position Purpose:
This position directs and oversees the Strategic Giving and Grants and Community Engagement programs for CA Health Net. Utilize all quantitative and qualitative market research for program/product development and strategic grant opportunities for the company. Provide leadership and guidance for building strategic partnerships with statewide healthcare and community stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: Designs and oversees Health Net Strategic Giving efforts throughout the state managing an annual $1 million grant portfolio to support provider and community partners that provide services to members Promotes CA Health Net’s corporate social responsibility brand reputation to external provider, community and member stakeholders Develops and oversees Community Engagement programs that enhances CA Health Net’s reputation within local communities, partners and stakeholders Identifies and develops membership growth initiatives including community activities and partnerships Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with key provider and member organizations that help us fulfill our mission to improve the health of the communities CA Health Net serves Develops, leads, and provides strategic giving efforts to ensure alignment with overall growth strategies and regulatory undertakings efforts Serves as community liaison with all external key stakeholders (providers, member community resources, community events) Manages the grant and sponsorship activities budget Responsible for the development of staff, including but not limited to hiring, staff development, staff evaluations, training, coaching and discipline of assigned work Lead the executive board service program Develops program research design for membership growth potential and opportunities, such as data mining, benefit pilot community programs, expanding community resource services for members etc. to transition to implementation

Experience/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of marketing, communication, or public relations experience. NPR Next Generation Radio Annenberg School at USC  Students at Cal State schools in greater Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, this one's for you. NPR’s Next Generation Radio is now accepting applications for our non-narrated audio and digital media storytelling project at the Annenberg School at USC March 13-17. Apply by midnight PST Wednesday February 23 https://nextgenradio.wufoo.com/forms/m1hrmmou0vnz2ee/ This program seeks to increase diversity in public media through hands-on training and mentorship. Students get to spend a week with their own professional mentor, working on NPR style audio stories, video, social media and web content. There is no cost to apply or be admitted into the program. (Students pay travel and food expenses though).
