Scholarship Opportunity


RTNA DEADLINE EXTENDED TO APPLY FOR 2020: January 8th, 2020

RTNA sponsors a broadcast journalism scholarship award in honor of the late Jim Zaillian, KNX-AM News Director for ten years. Jim was an active member of RTNA who had a special interest in the education of broadcast journalism students.

RTNA sponsors another broadcast journalism scholarship award in honor of the late Jerry Dunphy, an icon of Los Angeles broadcast news for more than four decades.

RTNA sponsors a third broadcast journalism scholarship award in honor of the late Hal Fishman, who was the longest-running news anchor in television history.

Any student whose career objective is broadcast journalism and who currently is studying at sophomore level or above at an accredited Southern California college or university is eligible.
