Students at Cal State schools in greater Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, this one's for you. NPR’s Next Generation Radio is now accepting applications for our non-narrated audio and digital media storytelling project at the Annenberg School at USC March 13-17. This program seeks to increase diversity in public media through hands-on training and mentorship. Students get to spend a week with their own professional mentor, working on NPR style audio stories, video, social media and web content.

There is no cost to apply or be admitted into the program. (Students pay travel and food expenses though).

Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, Investigative Reporters & Editors, Online News Assn., Asian American Journalists Assn., National Assn. of Black Journalists-L.A. and CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California /Nat ional Assn. of Hispanic Journalists.   The event takes place 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 11 at Molly Malone's Irish Pub, 575 S. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles.   Limited parking is available behind the building, in addition to street parking.
