Fred Roggin is hosting an exciting new contest that could jump start somebody’s sports media career. It’s called The Choice and it gives anybody without professional media experience a chance to be a panelist on his weekly LA sports show, Going Roggin.

Interested candidates can submit a 30 second video on why you deserve to be part of "Going Roggin."

LOS ANGELES TIMES INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Interested in working with some of the best journalists around? The Times offer 10 weeks of intensive, hands-on experience in a region where big stories are the norm. They place interns throughout the L.A. Times: Metro/Local, Foreign/National, Sports, Business, Features (Home, Image, Travel, Food, Mind & Body), Arts & Entertainment, Editorial Pages, Photography/Video, Data Desk, Visualization and Data, Design, Website/Audience Engagement and in our Sacramento and Washington, D.C., bureaus. (Their copy editing intern is selected through the Dow Jones News Fund's national selection process, and that deadline is Nov. 1, 2017.) These are paid internships and placements usually run from June to late August. They do not have fall or spring internships.
