The University Student Union is seeking to hire a CSUN student for the paid part-time position of Student Public Relations Assistant in our Marketing Department. They are especially interested in journalism majors with a PR emphasis and strong writing skills.

- Researchers, writers, edits and distributes press releases, media alerts, intranet updates, brochures, annual reports, and other marketing materials.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with campus and community media.
- Develops and maintains database of media contacts.
- Maintains media clip book.
- Plays an active role in program marketing, including but not limited to USU, SRC, Oasis Well ness Center, Pride Center and VCR.
- Proofs print materials for inclusion of basic information, copy and design errors.
- Compiles, writes, and submits information regarding USU achievements as well as staff and board accomplishments.
