Third Annual Nation Student Journalism Conference

The Nation magazine is bringing together the next generation of independent journalists to learn more about social movements, their historic and contemporary impact on electoral politics, and how journalists can better cover them.

The 2018 Nation Student Journalism Conference
9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday, June 1, 2018
The New School, Theresa Lang Community and Student Center, Arnhold Hall
55 West 13th Street, 2nd floor, NYC

Speakers include Katrina vanden Heuvel, Richard Kim, Melissa Harris-Perry, Kai Wright, Sarah Jaffe, Dave Zirin, and many others.

The conference is free for all accepted applicants. A small number of travel grants and free housing spots are available. All matriculating undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Young writers of college age not in school also eligible to apply. All applications will be acknowledged and considered on a rolling basis until Friday, April 20.
