Van Nuys-based toy company seeks PR intern for spring 2018 Semester.
The role will Include:

Researching new media contacts and YouTube influencers for all brands
Writing email pitches
Brainstorming new pitch ideas for all brands
Tracking all media clips
Maintaining media databases and editorial calendars

Requirements:

Public relations, journalism, communications or media-related major
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
must have a great work ethic and be resourceful
ability to handle working under tight deadlines with excellent accuracy
up-to-date on social media, blogger and YouTube trends
experience with Microsoft office; strong computer skills are a must

This is a 3-month unpaid internship, but one that can transfer for school credit

The Times offer 10 weeks of intensive, hands-on experience in a region where big stories are the norm. They place interns throughout the L.A. Times: Metro/Local, Foreign/National, Sports, Business, Features (Home, Image, Travel, Food, Mind & Body), Arts & Entertainment, Editorial Pages, Photography/Video, Data Desk, Visualization and Data, Design, Website/Audience Engagement and in our Sacramento and Washington, D.C., bureaus.
